Reactivating past clients without being weird about it
Your past clients are your cheapest future listings, and most agents ignore them because reaching out feels awkward. It only feels awkward when there's no reason. There are two legitimate reasons.
Reason 1: something changed that affects them
A similar home on their street sold. Rates moved enough to change their refinance maths. A local decision affects their area. The message: the fact, one line on what it may mean for them, no ask.
Reason 2: something useful, once or twice a year
The annual 'your home this year' note: what comparable homes did, any maintenance season reminder that's actually timely. Useful, brief, gone.
What never to send
'Just checking in', holiday spam with no content, and anything generated in bulk without the specific fact inserted per person. AI drafts the frame; the specific, true detail — the thing that makes it a message instead of marketing — is yours to add, one client at a time.
