Client Comms
Review requests that past clients actually answer
Review requests fail on timing and friction, not gratitude. Send within a week of closing, while the relief is fresh, and make answering a 90-second job.
The message that works
“[Name], thank you again for trusting me with [street]. If you have two minutes, a review genuinely helps the next family decide — here's the direct link: [link]. One line about the part that mattered most to you is plenty.”
Why it works
- One link, direct to the review form. Every extra click halves the response.
- A reason bigger than you. 'Helps the next family' outperforms 'helps my business'.
- Permission to be brief. People delay reviews because they imagine writing an essay. Say one line is plenty.
Never offer anything in exchange for a review, never draft the review for them — both breach platform rules and, in many places, the law. Ask honestly, make it easy, accept the answer.
